Jim Culler began his service at Oak Grove as a deacon, before becoming an elder. He lives in Brighton Township with his wife Robin. Jim has 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Jim is a retired engineer at Michael Baker International, and is a proud alumni of West Virginia University.
Leon, better known as "Muggs", is a retired steelworker, volunteer fire fighter and United States Army Veteran. He has served at Oak Grove as superintendent of Sunday School and deacon before becoming an elder. He resides in Beaver with his wife of over 60 years, Dolores. Muggs has 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Brad Keresty and his family began attending Oak Grove in 2008. Since then, Brad has been a devoted member of the Oak Grove service team. First as a deacon and now as an elder, Brad has also acted as a Staff member for our youth camp. He lives in Chippewa with his wife, Molly, and their son, Sam.
Kevin Phillis has served as our youth leader since 1986. He is a Sunday School teacher for our teen class, as well as a teacher of our younger youth program, "Big City Studios." He resides in Center Township with his wife, Debbie. They two children, Chad and Kerri. Kevin attended Robert Morris University and is a co-owner of Jack Bonus Insurance.
OUR PREACHER / EVANGELIST
Jeff was immersed into Christ in 1986 by our former Evangelist Glenn Bias. Jeff then went on to Kentucky Christian College from where he graduated in 1994. Jeff came back to Oak Grove to be officially ordained in the ministry of Jesus Christ in 1994.
Jeff began his preaching career in West Virginia at Paden City Christian Church where he served as the youth minister for 4 years. Jeff then served as the preaching minister at Ridgway (PA) Church of Christ for two years; and at the Shenango Christian Church (New Castle, PA) for three years.
He returned to our congregation and served as our youth minister in 2002-2003 to help launch our youth program, which is now known as Big City Studios. Jeff then served as the preaching minister for the next 12 years at the Vanville Church of Christ (Martinsburg, WV).
Jeff was confirmed as our Evangelist at a congregational meeting held on January 15, 2017. Jeff has a passion to share the Gospel’s Good News about the saving grace that only comes through Jesus Christ.

Jim wears many hats at Oak Grove! In addition to being a deacon, he is the Chairman of the Board of Men, Youth Adventure Camp Leader, Adult Sunday School teacher and a member of the Praise Team. A 1996 graduate of Penn State University, he is a 7th grade teacher for the Freedom Area School District. Jim enjoys spending time with his family, golf, following the Pittsburgh and Penn State sports scene and Starbucks. He lives in Patterson Heights with his wife, Stacy. They have two sons, Bryan, a student at Penn State, and Mike, who is serving in the United States Air Force.
